A Banquet was hosted by the Mayor of Newport (Bill Langsford) it took place in Malpas Court with each of the Church Communities within Malpas including St Anne's Oliphant Circle and St Mary's Malpas Road. 6 of us from St Anne's attended this event including Fr George, Sr Visitation and Myself.
In this magnificent building we had drinks served to us at the door as we were coming in along with a very nice and relxed atmosphere in the hall, shortly after the Mayor did his speech and the Banquet was then served.
As the evening went on we all mingled with both the Mayor and Mayoress as well as some of the members of the other Church Communities that were present and at the end of the evening we all said farewells and thanks.
