Thou Art A Priest Forever

To live in the midst of the world,
Without wishing its pleasures;
To be a member of each family,
Yet belonging to none;
To share all sufferings;
To penetrate all secrets;
To heal all wounds;
To go from men to God
And offer Him their Prayers;
To return from God to men
To bring pardon and hope;
To have a heart of fire for charity
And a heart of bronze for chastity;
To teach and to pardon,
Console and bless always--
What a glorious life!
And it is yours,
O Priest of Jesus Christ!

Silver Jubilee Celebration
of
Father George Areeku
zhy CMI

6th May 1985 - 6th May 2010

Father George was joined by many other clergy for this special celebration held at Saint David's Church.

All Saints Parishioners from each church community also came to celebrate with Father George.

The evening was blessed with glorious June weather, so people made the most of Saint David's beautiful gardens.

A magnificent buffet awaited in the school hall

“I Thank you for all the many gifts and cards and good wishes on my Silver Jubilee. Thanks also and to all
who joined in the Mass and Celebration in Saint David’s last Wednesday. As I promised then, I will keep
you all in my prayers and thanks to God for the gift of sin His Priesthood” Father George.

A Big Thank you to all who made the Celebration of Father George’s Silver Jubilee such a happy
affair, both in the church and in the hall afterwards. Special thanks to the Saint David’s Folk Group and the All
Saints amalgamated Altar Servers in church, and in the hall to the Keralan Community for the curry and rice, to
the ladies of Saint David’s, with a little help from their friends, for the rest of the banquet and the huge clearing up
operation afterwards, and to Gemelli’s for the cakes. And most of all for the whole evening and occasion, a great
thank you to Father George, congratulations on his 25 years of missionary service and priesthood, and our prayers.
